This is undoubtedly the finest way of viewing the inhabitants of the Pilanesberg National Park. We have Hot Air Balloon Safaris launching from the center of Pilanesberg National Park. On landing, guests will be served with sparkling wine, orange juice, and breakfast canapes.

Guests are collected early morning by a registered field guide, in an open safari vehicle from their respective hotels at Sun City Resort or lodges in the Pilanesberg area. Day visitors can be collected from Bakubung Gate. The transfer through the park takes approximately an hour as the balloon launch site is situated in the center of the Pilanesberg National Park. At the launch site, the guests will be met by the pilot and crew, who will proceed to give a briefing. Guests will then embark in a 1,2-metre high basket and commence on an unforgettable experience that lasts approximately 45 minutes to an hour. This will undoubtedly be the finest way of viewing the inhabitants of the Pilanesberg National Park. On landing, guests will be served sparkling wine, orange juice, and breakfast canapes. Each guest will receive a first flight certificate signed by the Pilot. After a mini-game drive, guests will be returned to their respective hotels. The total duration of this activity is approximately ±5 hours.
VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE! This activity is extremely weather dependent and a minimum of 4 people are required for the flight to take place. It is advisable that guests book 2 or 3 consecutive mornings as a backup plan.

What to Wear. Warm outdoor clothing, neutral colors & comfortable walking shoes. The early morning transfer into the park is cold year round, therefore please bring a jacket/jersey. In winter (May-Aug) beanies/scarf & gloves are also recommended.
Things to Bring. Camera and a set of binoculars.
Guests or Spectators. Guests wanting to follow only (not fly) can be accommodated on request. "Following guests" can only be booked with our office and must be booked at least 48 hours prior. The "following rate" is available on request and is inclusive of the Game Drive and breakfast.

The exact departure time will only be confirmed by the Gametrackers Tour Coordinator directly with guests, on the evening before the flight between 17h30 and 18h00.
Please note that there is an age restriction of 7 years for this activity. Guests are to be reasonably fit, as they are required to climb into a 1.2-metre high balloon basket and be able to crouch down on their haunches on landing.
Due to safety reasons, pregnant women are not able to do this activity

Reservations
• All reservation requests will be confirmed in writing by electronic mail subject to the availability of requested dates & times.
• A minimum number of pax is required for certain activities and each activity has a maximum capacity.
*Hot Air Balloon Safari - 4 minimum pax required
Payment & Cancellation
• Full payment is required 7 days prior to the first activity booked.
• All changes must be in writing & all amendments must be received at least 7 days before the activity takes place. Should we not receive any amendments in writing; the total confirmed pax will be charged.
• A 100% cancellation fee will apply should a cancellation or amendment be made within 7 days of the first activity booked.
• Full payment is required prior to receiving the online check-in link with indemnity and Covid-19 questionnaire
• Mankwe Gametrackers Management reserves the right to cancel any transfer or activity due to unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to, the lack of passengers or weather conditions. In the case of a weather cancellation, weather conditions are judged exclusively by Mankwe Gametrackers Management.
• In the event of a Mankwe Gametrackers management cancellation a full refund will be given on the amounts paid.
• COVID-19 Cancellation Terms:
* Ultimate rebook date: 24 months from the original departure date.
* Applies to all new bookings placed from 15 April to 31 October 2020 for travel between
1 May 2020 until 31 December 2022. Rebooking is subject to availability.
* Full refund only on the proof of valid Covid-19 medical confirmation or declaration signed by
authorities (e.g. result confirmation or GP letter) that it is without a doubt a Covid-19 case.
Indemnity & Covid-19 Information
• All guests are required to sign an indemnity and complete the Covid-19 questionnaire for all transfers and activities that they are participating in, prior to the departure.
• A link will be sent via e-mail 24 hours prior to your activity/transfer date.
• In the case of a guest refusing to sign the indemnity form or complete the Covid-19 questionnaire, the guest will not be able to partake in the activity/transfer and will not receive any refund.
• The indemnity form must be signed by a Parent/Legal guardian for children under 18 years of age.
• Any unaccompanied minor (a person under 18 years of age) requires the indemnity to be signed by a Parent/Legal guardian prior to the activity/transfer.
• The required indemnity form can be signed online from your mobile phone to ensure that you have sufficient time to read and understand the conditions.
• We are asking for more detailed information than usual. This information is to ensure we can address appropriately any risks, should you or one of our guests or staff become ill with suspected COVID-19, and to ensure that in such an event, the required contact tracing can be carried out. All information provided will only be shared with authorized persons.
• NOTE: As per the regulations of the Disaster Management Act, 2002 published on 17 March 2020, any person who intentionally -

Children
• Children are classified as a passenger, therefore, on certain activities, the full rate will apply to them. The following age/height/weight limits apply:
Hot Air Balloon Safari – needs to be taller than 1.2m
Quad Biking - Under 8 years can be lifted by an adult – no under 5 years
Chimp & Zee Rope Adventure – needs to be taller than 1.2m
Quatro Bounce – Maximum weight 100kg
Bush Walks in Pilanesberg – no under 16-years
Tour Leaders/Tour Guides
• The number of Tour leaders / Tour guides must be advised with the initial reservation.
• No refunds on Tour leaders / Tour guides will be given after the activity has taken place.
General
