Activity Description
Experience Sandboarding or Sandsledding the famous Alexandria Dune Field – the largest and least degraded coastal dune sea in Africa. The fresh ocean air will embrace you as your board skips across the sand on your way down to the Sundays River –it’s one wild ride!
You’ll depart from the dock at Colchester, Addo, with a short boat cruise along the Sundays River to the soaring dunes. There’s time to take in the beauty of the river, birdlife, and the coastal section of the Addo National Park before the fun starts.
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned sandboarder, our guides will have you boarding like a pro in no time! Excursions are available in two- or three-hour tours, which will give you enough time to get into your groove, master some new skills, and cool off in the river.
We require a minimum of 2 people to join this activity for the tour to go ahead. If there are fewer than 2 people then 1 guest will be charged an extra R150 for the tour to continue. Please contact us on the day of the tour to confirm if there are more than 2 people for the tour to continue.

Please take note our location is about 40 km outside of Port Elizabeth on the N2 towards Grahamstown. We are situated about 5km from the South Entrance of the Addo Elephant National Park.

What to Wear Takkies / Sneakers / Running Shoes or Boots. Swimming gear for those who want to swim. Shorts and T-shirts are recommended.
Things to Bring Sunglasses, Drinks, food, sunscreen, towels, takkies,, and swimming gear for those who want to swim. Sandboarding is best enjoyed barefoot.
Guests or Spectators R150 surcharge will be added if you are the only Sandboarding guest booked for this activity. Please email us if this is a problem for you. Spectators levy is R200 per person for those who want to watch or walk along the beach.

Service Terms and Conditions
RESERVATIONS
Full payment is required before trip departure.
If payment and proof thereof are not received, the reservation will be canceled.
All changes to reservations are required in writing by e-mail at least 7 days prior to the activity date.
Changes are subject to availability and payment will not be refunded only rescheduled if less than 7 days notice is given
CANCELLATIONS
Clients will not receive a refund in the event of a no show.
We reserve the right to cancel any activity due to unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to weather conditions.
Guests must report for the activity unless notified by Sunday's River Sandboarding.
In the event of a cancellation by Sunday's River Sandboarding, a full refund will be made.
INDEMNITY
All passengers are required to sign an indemnity form for all activities.
The indemnity form must be signed by a Parent/Legal guardian for children under 18 years.
GENERAL
Management reserves the right to amend/cancel/add terms & conditions at will.
All terms & conditions are subject to South African Law & Jurisdiction.
SINGLE Guests
An extra charge will be billed to guests if they are the only one for the day of R500 in cash.

Payment options accepted
Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, or credit cards for online bookings. Bank transfers or cash will only be accepted for direct bookings into the Sundays River Sandboarding bank account, the details of which will be provided on request
Credit card acquiring and security
Credit card transactions will be acquired for Sundays River Sandboarding via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3), and no credit card details are stored on the website. Customer details separate from card details
