Our boats are situated at 1 Jetty Street in Colchester, less than 30 minutes drive from Port Elizabeth, just below the Southern entrance gate of Addo National Elephant Park. The usage of either of our boats will be dependent on the amount of people attending the cruise. We cater for groups of 1-42 people. The River Cruise is perfect for bird lovers, a work function, a birthday party, a bachelor/bachelorette party, or just a great time with family and friends. Try something different and join us for a great experience. We are able to arrange return transport or overnight accommodation to suit your budget if required. The seas had calmed dramatically from the previous few days but still created a challenge as the boat rode the swells. The crew was excellent in helping with some queasiness by providing some ginger and peppermint. We worked hard to find some humpbacks but were rewarded nicely. Albatross, sharks, seals, and penguins rounded out our voyage making for an excellent day!! The fact that they picked us up at our hotel in Hermanus was a bonus not to be discounted! - Ben My partner and I enjoyed the whale watching experience with Marine Dynamics. It was really convenient to be picked up from our hotel, on arrival to the centre, coffee and muffin provided was nice, we were greeted and briefed by Sonia and Amy who explained the company's conservation projects and what to expect on our experience. We were provided with life jackets and waterproof/wind proof coats (quite necessary for the weather that day). We were fortunate to have a calm sea with minimal swell so the boat ride was lovely. We were lucky to see Southern Right Whales, a mother and calf were in the vicinity and a calm lengthy observation was possible, they were close and did not appear disturbed by the boat. The mother was displaying feeding behaviour which we were informed was unusual and not often seen at this time. Sonia was on hand to answer and questions that people had about the whales. We then went to observe the waters around Dyer island and saw the large fur seal colony and the African penguin colony, the staff handed out binoculars for a closer look, (I was grateful these were a better spec than mine so we got a good view of everything). We then returned to base for a homemade soup and roll, basic but not bad. Our return the bus stopped at the African Penguin sanctuary to see rescue penguins. Then being dropped back to our hotel was again really convenient. A bar in the coach, with a dedicated barman ensures that this seat is the best one in the house. On arrival, guests are met by their trail guide who welcomes them and takes them through the safety procedures. After the safety briefing, guests will go on the practice course for approximately 5 minutes. Payment & Cancellation • Full payment is required 7 days prior to the first activity booked. • All changes must be in writing & all amendments must be received at least 7 days before the activity takes place. Should we not receive any amendments in writing; the total confirmed pax will be charged. • A 100% cancellation fee will apply should a cancellation or amendment be made within 7 days of the first activity booked. • Full payment is required prior to receiving the online check-in link with indemnity and Covid-19 questionnaire • Mankwe Gametrackers Management reserves the right to cancel any transfer or activity due to unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to, the lack of passengers or weather conditions. In the case of a weather cancellation, weather conditions are judged exclusively by Mankwe Gametrackers Management. • In the event of a Mankwe Gametrackers management cancellation a full refund will be given on the amounts paid. • COVID-19 Cancellation Terms: * Ultimate rebook date: 24 months from the original departure date. * Applies to all new bookings placed from 15 April to 31 October 2020 for travel between 1 May 2020 until 31 December 2022. Rebooking is subject to availability. * Full refund only on the proof of valid Covid-19 medical confirmation or declaration signed by authorities (e.g. result confirmation or GP letter) that it is without a doubt a Covid-19 case. Indemnity & Covid-19 Information • All guests are required to sign an indemnity and complete the Covid-19 questionnaire for all transfers and activities that they are participating in, prior to the departure. • A link will be sent via e-mail 24 hours prior to your activity/transfer date. • In the case of a guest refusing to sign the indemnity form or complete the Covid-19 questionnaire, the guest will not be able to partake in the activity/transfer and will not receive any refund. • The indemnity form must be signed by a Parent/Legal guardian for children under 18 years of age. • Any unaccompanied minor (a person under 18 years of age) requires the indemnity to be signed by a Parent/Legal guardian prior to the activity/transfer. • The required indemnity form can be signed online from your mobile phone to ensure that you have sufficient time to read and understand the conditions. • We are asking for more detailed information than usual. This information is to ensure we can address appropriately any risks, should you or one of our guests or staff become ill with suspected COVID-19, and to ensure that in such an event, the required contact tracing can be carried out.
